Wisdom Sharing Project

Is there an interest in connecting generations to share wisdom experienced from a lifetime of learning? There is no doubt that there is a need for wisdom sharing! Do the Elders in our culture want to leave a legacy of wisdom to assist broadening the perspectives of younger generations? Do the culturally admired youth in our society want to hear from Elders and gain wisdom from learned experience? Is anyone interested in an honest sharing of the struggles and the insights coming out of the pursuit for higher consciousness and spiritual development?

If I had the answers or found the model of these queries being answered, I would not have to write this blog post. My relatively recent new role as a Grandparent has me considering how I can best serve my grandson, Mr Milo. I am creating resources for him including: a list of books I have read, blogs and articles I have written, videos I have recorded, and even specific writing on subjects “Guidance” has asked me to share with him. Storytelling and holding him in love is also part of this process. But, I am not the only Baby Boomer who has a legacy of chasing after consciousness to share. So, I ask again, Is it worth the effort to attempt to create resources of wisdom to offer to younger generations? Or, should the coming generations be left to find their own way without any possible shortcuts or support from their elders? For thousands of years, old and young would sit in circles around the campfire and share stories. Has our new worship of technology made this inter-generational activity unnecessary?

Sharing your story is not simply for the witness/listener. It is a blessing for the storyteller. The wisdom sharing elder can revisit, even relive, their transformative experience and from the new perspective of distance and growth, can learn new, vital elements of past revelations. 40 years after I had compelling information from meditations in my 20’s, I recently learned new things from recent retelling of these stories. Stuff I did not know, or was willing to know, from those experiences of 40 years ago. (Or, perhaps I was not ready to “know” back then…)

What experiences in your life created massive change for you? Chances are you had a major life challenge and somehow you survived. Perhaps, you were able to adapt and integrate this new perspective into your life. It may have even sent you off into a different direction than you might have expected. This wisdom can have value to other people, especially, the younger generations who will be confronted in similar ways at some point in their lives. If nothing else, it is great to know that someone else survived these similar challenges and can feel supported by a parallel story.

Can the younger generations put down their technologies and look into the eyes of a wise, caring storyteller? This is not in vogue or discussed much in social media. (At least not in a positive, open to listening, kind of way.) Valuable insights can be lost with this separation of generations. Our culture looks to divide older people from the youth. Fear drives this reduced interaction. Impatience and Judgement get in the way. Attention spans are shortening and not for the better of considering consciousness and mindfulness. The “present” is being lost to upsets from the “past” and fears/anxieties of the “future.”

What needs to happen (for your consideration):
TRAINING what questions to ask… yourself and your children regarding what details AND EXPERIENCES to share.
Building your Legacy of Wisdom from the challenges you have survived. Look into your feelings and not the projection of dogma which may have been imposed upon you. (Be authentic, and real, and genuine in expressing your struggle and how you found your way through very real and very common interactions.)
Preparing the storyteller to share their story most effectively can be helpful.
Preparing the witness/listener to focus, ask open ended questions, and avoid distracting interruptions can be helpful.
Inter-generational communication and interactions serve both sides of this experience.

Share Your Wisdom to assist the future generations. It is Your Legacy.
Share Your Wisdom to assist YOU! By retelling your story you gain perspective of the person you are NOW as you share your story from past experience. You get to see it and know it from a different angle.

Whad’s Dat?

Wonderment… All things are new… When you travel to a new place or visit a new culture, your perspective changes. Things are not familiar. “You are Not in Kansas” anymore. Everything you see and experience may be new to you or at least a different version of what your normal life might look and even feel like. Your eyes are big and bright! Your mouth might drop open in excitement! Your ears strain to listen to the new and different tones and sounds. AND, your mind may ask, “Whad’s Dat???” Translated from 14 month old Mr. Milo’s verbiage to “I am curious. What could that be and how does it work and what do I do with it???…”

Yes, I just had 5 days with my 14 month old grandson, Mr. Milo. His excitement for EVERYTHING makes looking at my world and what I take for granted, much more interesting. His “Wonderment” is infectious as I watched him explore this new alien world which I commonly overlook due familiarity. Yes, even the magnets on the refrigerator have new uses and cause great excitement. They are no longer just holding last week’s shopping list. They are magical objects to be carried and thrown into different corners of the room. My son reported that they do NOT need to buy Mr Milo toys because everything he sees and grabs becomes a new toy to this young explorer.

I have written before, in fact recently, about “Beginners Mind” and living life in the “Wonderment.” We can all be more fully “present” and in a state of mind where everything in nature is exciting and magical. We can remember that it is a “Miracle” that our life exists and the things we see or touch are amazing, often unique, and much of the time not fully explainable. Interacting with other people adds complexity because people can “look” normal but “behave” in very unusual ways. What made “them” the way they are? What happened in their life to them? Its complicated and not possible to fully understand, if you are really open and honest. Every interaction is a “new Toy” for your consciousness. Whad’s Dat? is a question for you to consider regarding what is your lesson from each interaction.

Look at life, YES, every moment as if this moment is unique and special. Each moment is there for you to learn and experience a very special lesson. No matter how “young” YOU are, your senses can absorb the Earthly world we share and from within your heart you can feel the joy bursting bright within you. The mystery may be, what is this lesson and how can I integrate this moment into my consciousness? How then, can I tell the story and share the wisdom gleaned from this moment in time and how might it be important to all of Divine Consciousness???

If you find this difficult, find a 14 month old and participate in their adventure of exploration. Chances are your heart will fill with joy as you watch each new discovery unfold and each new and unique interaction finds its direction. Know that each moment can be seen as unique if you choose to participate in the Joy of “Beginners Mind.”

Thanks for your time and consideration. Your insights and experiences are unique and a blessing, so please share these…

What Did YOU Get From Meeting a Master?

Bear with me, please. In 2015, the Masters of the Journey community came to life. The premise for this project came from “Guidance” which indicated that people need ways to connect and to be supported by fellow consciousness seekers. It was also indicated that whether we know, and acknowledge, it or not, we are ALL Masters of our journey through life and into higher consciousness. Our mind/egos like to keep us “small” so we are not targets by standing in the light our brilliance can create… So, YOU are a Master. Like it or not! In many of our community’s gathering we share our stories of personal awareness through a small group interchange called the “Triad Process.” This was indicated by Guidance as a tool for connecting people and focusing upon experiences which have led to higher consciousness. BUT, this is not just a Masters of the Journey formula. It is a formula for connecting with everyone you meet and hopefully, finding the value of this interaction, no matter how subtle…

The Triad Process:
First, it is most important to realize that whomever you meet has a soul which has been around since the dawn of Divine Consciousness. (Though some people may seem like they have stood on the sidelines too much and perhaps have not “jumped into the river of life’s changes” as much as they could have. Jumping in is scary!) When you look into someone’s eyes please remember that they are sacred and Masters of their life. (No one can do their life and be in their role in the drama of life better than they can…) If you “Judge” them, you do yourself a disservice. If you look down on them and consider that they are Not Your equal, you may lose the value of this interaction and demonstrate that your current incarnation has a ways to go for the “Enlightenment” you seek. (This seeking may be a conscious seeking or an unconscious seeking, dependent on how Conscious You are.) If you allow your consciousness to reach its potential, you will understand that there is much to gain from any and every interaction. Even if the interaction “Triggers” you into an upset, this can be a “Learning” experience.

Second, because the individual you are sitting (or standing) in front of is a Master, you can best learn to be the “Witness” who can add most to this interaction by being the listener. Your focus on your speaker, or storyteller, is critical. Consuming this “story” without Judgement or your interruption is a great skill to develop. Why? Because in our culture this “Listening” skill has been bred out of us. We are often taught to interrupt and assert “Our” story so our insecurity can take control of the conversation… Taking this control we often lose the wisdom which is being given to us by our communication partner. We can not “look between the lines” to find the “Lesson” we were meant to experience from this interchange if we interrupt. Please Know that being a “Witness” in respect of the storyteller is one of the Greatest Gifts you can offer another person. Allowing your partner to share their wisdom through their story requires patience and offers the storyteller the opportunity to practice or the reliving of their story/experience which they are gifting you by sharing. This “Respect” is not shared enough by the “Me First” attitude in our culture AND interrupting does not breed respect in return. People LOVE to be heard and this is a great gift!

BTW: With the Holidays, you may find yourself confined in a home with friends and family you have successfully avoided for much of the year. Consider this an opportunity to Give the Gift of witnessing the shared stories that are the family legacies. Yes, even, or especially, if you have heard them told many times. Your gift is being a witness. Your lesson is to learn what it is in these re-tellings that is most important for you to learn and to grow… These are a Blessing! Thanks for listening to these tales yet again…

Third, the act of looking into the “Masters” eyes helps you to focus and demonstrates the respect you have. There may be a need to ask a “Clarifying question” to assist the storyteller, if you are not fully understanding their communication. Please curtail your need to interject your story into this conversation and in so doing, redirect the conversation. YOU are looking for the “Pearls of Wisdom” and insights coming out of this interaction. Remember, if this “Triggers” you then there is an important lesson for YOU in this interaction. Equanimity and non-Judgement are skills to develop along the way toward Enlightenment. Honor the Master in front of you! (If you had trekked high into the mountains to sit in front of a “Holy Person” to gain their Wisdom, you would listen carefully and respectfully. That person may not be wearing robes or a tailored suit but you would honor them. This is the same for the “Holy Person” who sits in front of you even though you have NOT had to trek high into the mountains in search of this wisdom…)

Finally, ask yourself, What is the one thing YOU got out of this engagement? What did YOU find of “VALUE?” Even if this exchange with another Master took the form, only, of a shared smile! There are NO accidents in our Universe, some will say. Each seemingly random interaction, has happened for a reason. Maybe it was for YOU. Maybe it was you participating in a random act to benefit another soul’s learning. You are Essential. You are a Master! Careful respect for every soul you bump into, in the warm drier of life, is there as a service. Honor this!

And, as Abraham Hicks has channelled to us, (Thank you Robert for sharing,) “No one Gets Who You ARE!” Your greatness in following the path you are moving along, is not known by the people you pass. On Earth we are limited by our 3 Dimensional world. In the Higher Realms, everyone knows everyone’s business through instantaneous psychic communication, (there are No Lies (thanks Paula Forget, author of, “Guided to the Higher Realms”)) but here on Earth you have NOT walked a mile in their shoes. You can not fully know what they have been through to get them to the representation of the role they are playing in this life! For you, the lesson is DO NOT Live Your Life for another person’s values. Do NOT try to be something you are Not! Do Not expect to be liked or understood! You are Perfect! You are a Master! Be authentic! Be Your Self! Be the bright light which offers guidance to other souls whose lesson has them looking like they are struggling in the Darkness. Perhaps their seeming struggle is a chance for you to serve them and to experience another of Your lessons.

We are ALL in this together. Reach around and take the hands of the next soul you meet. Let them know that they are NOT alone in a way to support them and their learning. AND, every opportunity you get to bask in the light of passion coming from the person in front of you, honor them and bask in their light and passion. You never fully know what value this will have for YOU, for them, and for the future people you will bump into.

Thanks for your time and consideration. Your insights and experiences are unique and a blessing, so please share these…

What Happened to You?

“What happened to YOU?” (Looking at someone’s “unusual behavior” or their “look.”) Yes, that is the question I could be asking instead of leaping into a negative judgement if you are not doing something the way “I” would be doing it. Perhaps I can work on a Total Acceptance with NO Judgement when I do not understand or feel like I agree with someone who cross my field of vision. But, total acceptance takes a special quality that I do not fully possess. So, it feels better to ask an unanswerable question. What happened to you which makes you act or respond the way that you do?

We are all different and have had different influences in our lives. We each came to our current incarnation with special lessons to learn and special lessons to teach… Why we act as we do may be related to our ancestors, or our DNA, or our unique childhood, or something in the environment we grew up within. What can be difficult for our minds to understand is that even with our flaws and imperfections, each one of us is perfect. We are all unique. We are here, in this life, to learn and to grow as we bump into the people and the challenges which we bump into. If someone “pushes your buttons” and “triggers” you, you can get judgmental or you can an ask what happen to them AND what is YOUR lesson for bumping into these seemingly annoying souls. They could be angels and we might not notice because we have been “triggered.”

It is great to attempt to understand why they did what they did. It may be more important and more within our control to attempt to better understand why I was “triggered” and not accepting, neutral, nonjudgmental, and totally in forgiveness. Forgiveness, yes, forgiveness with no need to go back and change the behavior which set me off. I am not saying “turn the other cheek,” I am saying that this judgement may have been triggered by taking MY life TOO seriously. Considering myself to be at the center of the Universe, in a sense. My Insecurity and lack of self love and self-acceptance, has created a sensitivity within me that wants, or needs, to Judge others to feel more in control and to delude myself into thinking that I am “better” than them. Not their equal. Which does not allow me to realize that I am God. I am perfect. I am a miracle. I am JUST like every other soul I bump into. I am unique but I am not “better” than they are. We are all perfect and here to trigger the lessons we need to teach each other until we are conscious enough to know that we are all connected and in this life struggle for higher consciousness, together.

Besides, when I ask what happened to you, I can ask what happened to ME to respond as I do and where is this lesson is supposed to take ME… But, asking “what happen to you?” is more conscious than responding with negative judgment.

In case you need reminding, or you do not remember, yet, YOU are a blessing! You are are perfect! No one could do YOU better than you and you have a unique role in the fabric of the Divine Spirit!

Know Your Lineage, Remember Where You are From

Where in your life have you felt the most welcome and motivated? What community or environment triggered happiness and satisfaction? Where did YOU most resonate with your creativity and happiness? Your “Spirit” was born the instant the Universe and the Divine Spirit were born. You are more powerful than you allow yourself to “Know.” The “thinking” of your mind puts limits on self-love, self-acceptance, self-empowerment, and self-appreciation of the perfection you, in spirit, truly are!

Your multi-dimensional spirit is limitless. You are from a lineage of healers and guides. You may not have a clear remembrance of these past endeavors of spirit but these are still a deep part of who you are. You would not be drawn to reading this article if this were not true. You are on a path to remember and to then grow in consciousness. As you evolve, your growth supports all consciousness. Act to share your discoveries by sharing your stories. Serve and support by witnessing the stories from other pilgrims. Continue to tap into your intuition and guidance even when this requires a change in life’s course. Work towards loving unconditionally and reducing the limitations of Judgements which can cut you off from the people and experiences which would be most helpful.

When you are “drawn” or attracted to certain experiences, places, or people make an attempt to follow this guidance and explore the adventure that awaits. It will not always be easy or without challenges but the lessons which you are led toward having, serves a purpose. Find the “joy” in this process and look for the consciousness raising outcomes. For some reason, perhaps beyond what your “mind” might know or understand, you were “supposed” to have this experience for your development or to serve another soul in their learning.

At some point in your travels, or pilgrimage, you will discover the feelings from deep within. You will remember more clearly where you came from. Your spiritual lineage will brighten your heart and lighten your path. You will remember that YOU are Perfect, even with your seeming imperfections. No one can do YOU better and your role in the human drama of life is critical… This may be diicult to see but your spirit will find its way to “Knowing” and “Remembering.”

And, if you find yourself in a community where you feel most creative, most in touch with the Divine, and most supported in your endeavors toward consciousness raising, celebrate this opportunity to more easily find the Joy of your Blessed pilgrimage. If it feels like “Home,” bask in this special experience and thrive. YOU are a Blessing! You are a Miracle!

Thanks for your time and consideration. Your insights and experiences are unique and a blessing, so please share these…

Attract Positive: Be Happy!

Be Happy! Easier said than done, BUT…. Your positivity and Happiness will attract positive energy and loving support from the Divine Spirit. No matter what you choose to do or to be, the Divine Spirit will still Love and Support You AND it is an easier task to feel this Love and Support if you are positive and happy. “Like attracts like…” How you choose to be “Happy” in difficult times dealing with difficult challenges is up to you! You choose how YOU respond. You need to take responsibility for your actions, reactions, and the way you perceive your situation. Some people have chosen to respond to difficulties by finding the good, even the Joy, in the lesson they are confronted by. You CAN choose Joy and Happiness.

When you “Ruminate” in a negative or depressed state, you may tend to see life through this filter. You may then find the energy that you are emanating as “Like attracts like…” When you are angry and frustrated, it is difficult to find Joy. It is easier to find more anger and frustration. There is a person who sometimes floats into my activities who rants anger and frustration every chance possible. This attracts more anger and hostile responses which tends to prove this person’s belief. AND, there is no personal responsibility by this individual for their own angry presentation…

There is the distinction in living in higher consciousness. Seeing the positive in a difficult lesson can be very challenging. Taking responsibility for what is happening and how you respond is demanding. This, however, is a test which leads to higher consciousness and moves you toward your “Enlightenment.” What is the direction you choose to take?

Living in Joy is a goal of the Enlightened spirit. We come into our Earthly incarnation to be tested, challenged, and to face the pain of being a human. We come to experience the “Drama” of our role in Earthly life. We learn from these challenges. We grow when tested. Life was not meant to be 24/7 fun. However, for those of us who live in Joy and Happiness a “fun” life can be more consistently lived. When you meditate and begin to remember where you have come from, you can be guided in the most positive direction to accomplish your “learnings.” Sharing your wisdom, experiences, and Joy is a step toward offering the positive support which attracts positivity to you. If you can share with humility, you may prove to be the guiding light for your witnesses.

Hint which may assist you: the practice of Smiling will engage a happier mindset. Just Smile! Smile when you are alone. Smile when you interact with other people in the world. Smile as you look for the Joy or Positive lesson you can learn even in challenging situations. Smiling will trigger a physical response in your brain and stimulate some unconscious responses in your central nervous system. Practice this. Smile when you meditate. My friend Robert discovered how well this has worked for him and I know this is true for me as well. What have you got to lose? So spend some time and energy with extra smiling.

Live in the “Light.” Radiate and reflect the Joy you experience. Expect the positive even in the dark times. (Again, easier said than done.) Example, when grief seemed to limit my expression of joy after the passing of my wife, I was still celebrating her freedom from the traumas of cancer. I was still able to know that our story would serve others. I still found appreciation for all the learning I had been forced to experience as a partner in this difficult shared experience. I experienced the love and support of many friends. Today, even with grief and my pain not far from the surface, I know that I would not wish this on anyone else but I would not trade this experience for a different path.

You are a Miracle! You are a beacon of Love and Light! Whenever possible, bask in the Joy and the Happiness which the lessons of life can offer to you. AND, allow your growth in consciousness to be a bright guiding force you can share with the pilgrims you meet on your path!

Thanks for your time and consideration. Your insights and experiences are unique and a blessing, so please share these…

You Are Loved!

“I Love You,” Guidance has asked me to share this with YOU. (Do Not take this “Wrong!” This is not just a series of overused or mis-used words.) The Divine Spirit knows you are perfect and a miracle!
This is NOT the love we humans find in our 3 dimensional world. It is not found in thoughts or words… Sorry, I have to use words to communicate and these words do a poor, inadequate job of sharing what is at the foundation of the Universe and the Divine Spirit’s feelings for you as a spirit. Our minds are not expansive enough to describe or understand the Love of the Divine.

We get confused by the “human love” we crave and speak about between people in relationship. This human love has conditions and does not last for the eternity which our spirits live within. Your mind does not fully understand or appreciate how great and powerful you as “Spirit” are in the larger Divine Universe. We come to our incarnations to have adventures within the limitations of 3 dimensions. When we are conscious of our simultaneous existence in the higher realms, beyond 3 dimensions, we are free from limitations of “time” and “space.” There are NO Secrets and no costumes or dramas to hide within, as we have so commonly in our temporary human existence.

By the way, what I say and “know” is no secret or for me alone. These are Universal truth. You have Guidance and Angels, and Spirits, and Mentors, and access to all Wisdom. It can be too much, too intense, and too overwhelming for the simple mind and ego to fully know. These limitations are a part of the game in the drama we call our lives. Your path will lead you to find “Joy” in your challenges. These will be “gifts” and experiences for you to share. Connecting with other pilgrims and sharing stories and experiences are a service for you and everyone you interact with.

My mentor Bob Trask reminds me:
You are Loved
You are Blessed
You are Safe
and
You are Free

However, most of us do not understand that these words and concepts are so much more than mentally understood words/concepts. These are the remembered Feelings of the Divine Spirit’s true Unconditional Love for you, always!!!

When I was a young man, I was “gifted” with an experience which is appropriate to share. During a guided visualization, I had an “out of body” experience and went to discover what Death was all about. At the time, I was innocent and naive. I had not read the accounts of NDE’s (Near Death Experience.) I had never considered death in this young body and life. When I found myself approaching “Death,” I was enveloped in a warm, peaceful, loving energy. For my first time, in this life, I was aware of the “Feeling” of an Unconditional Love and Presence! Words I attempt to use to describe this do not do this “Knowing” or “Remembering” justice. I had the “feeling” of Acceptance, Freedom from time and space, lack of “Judgment,” “connectedness” with all things in the Universe (no sense of being alone,) a feeling of access to all Universal Wisdom, and the Remembering of the pure, unconditioned loving presence from which my spirit comes from (and to where it goes after this incarnation, though we are there NOW but linear thinking seems to create separation.) My point: Today my mind can not fully grasp the Feeling and the Knowing of what Unconditional Love is. My mind can not get its hands around this “sensation.” My Heart knows there is an elusive feeling/knowing/remembering of Unconditional Love which can not fully fit in my mental consciousness.

BTW. I recently asked about “understanding” Unconditional Divine Love to a group of fairly conscious friends. They went on to describe the unconditional love from their pet, dogs, as how they know “unconditional love.” They were much closer to “feeling” the truth. However, our pets and their unconditional love for us HAVE conditions. Our pets love us because we love and feed them. We are part of their herd, family or “pack.” This is still Earthbound love with conditions which do not fully include Unconditional Divine Love… Sorry. Close but No Cigar… as comedians from the Vaudevillian era might say. So, feel beyond 3 dimensions and the limitations of the mind to “Know” Unconditional Divine Love.

Thanks for your time and consideration. Your insights and experiences are unique and a blessing, so please share these…

“Unconditional Love” The Divine’s Undefinable Blessing!

Have You ever experienced “Unconditional Love?” Perhaps you have had an experience in “knowing” or “remembering” the Divine Spirits’ essential Love. It is a “feeling” not a thought. It is impossible to define in our 3 dimensional world and language. Like the human act and feeling of Love, it defies definition. As an exercise in frustration, can you define a simple feeling like the smell of a fragrant rose or the taste of an exquisite food? Perhaps you can say what it is NOT. Or, you can compare it to something we have in common but the nuances of this unique sensation do not lend themselves to the world of descriptive words.

More difficult is a sensation that does not reside in our 3 dimensional human world like Divine Unconditional Love. So, I share a story. When I was 19 years old in my second year at UCLA, I participated in a weekend workshop. Our larger group divided into 5 or 6 smaller groups to discuss various topics. I selected the group discussing Death and Dying. Kubler-Ross’s book “On Death and Dying” had been released and the group leader had read this book. He decided that the group would have an “experience” in the form of a guided visualization to “explore” Death and Dying. I had never really thought about this. I was innocent and Naive in this area so I had few pre-conceptions and no anxiety. I was asked to relax and to step out of my body to go to discover what Death was all about. So, I did what I was told. I assumed everyone would be doing this and it seemed easy for me, at that time. I drifted up and away from my body and traveled out into the Universe. Finally, I got to what I perceived to be “half way to Death” and before me was a dark horizon. My understanding at the time seemed to be that on the other side of this horizon was Death. It seemed warm and inviting. I was attracted to it and peaceful. It was comforting. My perception included these words: I was enveloped in warmth, unconditional love and acceptance. I was free of constraints like time and space. I was “connected” to all other souls and things. I had access to all of universal wisdom.

No Big Deal! After all, everyone in the room with me was experiencing the same thing on their out of body experience, I thought. It was so inviting, I did NOT want to go back. Non-verbally, it was explained that I had to go back. I refused and resisted. I was told that I was not done doing what I had come to do so I had to go back. Grudgingly, I returned but not before I was told that I could/would come back when my time was correct to return. Knowing that I would be allowed to return, in time, I went back and got into my body. Words are inadequate to truly communicate what I had experienced but I was young and dumb so this did not seem to matter to me, at the time. This experienced was difficult to integrate but the main concept was that Death was NOT scary or the enemy. It was something we would all experience when we transitioned out of our current incarnations.

When the “guided visualization” was complete the guy in the front of the room asked if anyone had an experience. I waited because I was one of the youngest people in the room. No one raised their hand to share so I raised my hand and told my story. No big deal. I thought everyone had gone where I went… The guy in the front of room got really excited. His eyes got wide! He started jumping up and down in excitement and THEN I realized that I had had a profound experience. A life changing experience. My innocence and naivety were dissolved. I had a story to tell and to share! BUT, words are not adequate. In fact, in the past 50 years, my mind remembers the experience as clearly as it had just happened except for the the profound feeling of Unconditional Love which does NOT translate into my 3 dimensional life. There are no words and the “feeling” which enveloped me is not clear in my focus. Vague but there.

We have feelings like love and these have conditions, you know strings attached, etc. We can not fully define this feeling but “Unconditional Love” is in a league of its own. I KNOW, we all have had this experience (before birth and after we transition from life) but finding integration and definition in our lives is NOT fully possible. YOU will know it when it comes. You will Love it when you feel it. You are a Blessing! You are a Miracle. Your Spirit is Perfect! And, your life has a purpose which can not be understood, fully, as you plod through your life experience. In the Higher Realms, it will make more sense. AND, YOU are Unconditionally Loved!!!

Living Your Life Includes Considering the Legacy You Leave

How can you follow your path through Life without a Plan? Sure you can do this one day at a time. Or, One moment at a time, BUT… I ask you to consider getting your “EGO” out of the way, easier said than done, and ask yourself how YOU want to be remembered in this Life. As if YOU were writing your own eulogy. (Definition of Eulogy: a speech or piece of writing that praises someone or something highly, typically someone who has just died.) So, how would you like to be remembered? I am asking not for an accounting all the things YOU have acquired like money, wealth, expensive toys, property, or work related projects… I am asking about your legacy for how you have “Served” your community in “Human” terms. Did you Live most “fully?” Did you Love completely? Did you support your fellow pilgrims on their path through life? Was this a family pursuit or spread out to “strangers” in a wider community? Were you “Known” to have patience, a great sense of humor, integrity to follow through on promises, to listen without judgement or interruptions, for your gentleness and compassion, for your friendships, for your wisdom sharing….?

When people met you, did they get more from you than they gave, maybe only your time and respectful consideration? Did people you encountered love your beaming smile and possibly your “no strings attached” embrace? Did you brighten the day? Did you Lead as a positive role model? Did you invite creativity and encourage others to express theirs? Did your family and friends feel unconditionally loved and respected? Did you live your life as if “you were dancing while no one was watching?” Would people say about you, that there times when you put someone else’s “needs” ahead of your own? Were you thought of as a “Hero” because you lead others through dark times?

If you donated money and got your name on the wing of the community hospital, that is great, BUT… was your act of charity sincere or for the recognition your “EGO” required. Donating is NOT BAD but you can notice your intention and then consider whether this was an act of selflessness.

Please take time and consider how YOU want to be remembered as the human soul who walked through your unique life. You CAN NOT GET THIS WRONG! There is no “wrong” way to live. Perhaps, though, you can consider if you lived as “fully” as possible and if you found the best ways to “serve” your fellow pilgrims… Expand your consciousness, for that is what we are all about in living our lives and this consciousness can focus on how we can best take the hands of fellow travelers to assist them to get to their next level of enlightenment. By serving them you serve all the Divine Spirit, and you serve yourself. (The act of service is a healing for the soul who provides service, especially if they do this service from their hearts without strings attached.) Be innocent, open, and guided by a pure heart… (Again, easier said than done.)

You are Loved! You are a Miracle! There is NO WAY to Screw This Up! You are perfect! AND, so is every soul/spirit you bump up against, even if they “push your buttons. (Being “triggered” is your lesson…)

So, write your own Eulogy. Then LIVE it! Be the person in this life you would want to be remembered as being! You will be remembered for your deeds more than for the “toys” you have acquired. So consider your “plan” and follow it to be the “Best you can Be.” The way you live your life, is the legacy you will leave… YOU are a Blessing!

Thanks for the Divine, Another Reminder of Gratitude

I went for my walk/hike this morning on a gray, breezy, and damp day. It felt good though a little chilly as I started out to walk in the woods around Lake Padden which is very close to where I live in Bellingham, WA. Today because of the cool weather there were fewer hikers and bikers than can be found on mornings when the weather seems more inviting. Up ahead of me on the trail as I was beginning my first turn around the lake I saw a familiar couple. Dave and his guide dog, Sporty, were out for their regular morning exercise walk. For me, this is a rare treat.

I first met Dave and Sporty a couple of years ago when I walked around the lake on a beautiful morning in the Pacific Northwest. Dave and Sporty caught up with me and passed me, moving at their normally fast pace. I worked to keep up with them and we had a nice visit as we walked the back side of the lake. Dave is a very friendly and articulate man. It is great to visit with him. He told me that he lives in the neighborhood, up the hill from the lake. Though blind, Dave has no problem with the visual disability which he lives with. Dave is NOT a victim in any way! When I try to imagine my life without eyesight, I struggle with this as a possibility. It seems, as a sighted person, to be a struggle I would find very challenging. Dave and Sporty are a high functioning team, in my mind…

When I caught up with Dave, I reminded him of who I was and that we had visited before. Dave knows many of the regular walkers and I have seen him in discussion with many others as I have walked this well used path around the lake. Dave’s positive attitude is infectious. I cherished my brief visit with Dave and Sporty today. I will cherish any future encounter and conversation with Dave and his trusty companion. My walk in the woods was grounding for me, as is usual but it was enhanced by my encounter with this pair of hikers.

An appreciation of each sacred encounter which the Divine provides us stands out as a learning opportunity. Gratitude is what I feel as I consider this beautiful unexpected addition to my day. Consider taking that walk in nature. Ground yourself in the natural beauty. Find appreciation for what you encounter and who you might meet as you walk your path through life… You are a Blessing! Search for Joy and the Divine in every encounter you are blessed to experience.

As I headed home, I did not notice the gray dampness or the chilly breeze. I notice how special each step is when I am fully present and available to cherish the beauty of my world. Miracles surround us, celebrate these in your own way.

Thanks for your time and consideration. Your insights and experiences are unique and a blessing, so please share these…
